Hi Neil and Geo-VRML Folks:

since Lee might be on California time... I'll answer this
on east coast time.

there was a good turn out at the Representing Geographical
Information in VRML Workshop at VRML 98.

the VRML Architecture Review Board gave a postive response
regarding approving Lee's proposal for a formal working group.
there are a few remaining procedure steps that need to be done.


the VRML 98 conference was well organized and orchestrated
with one of the big announcements being that Sun Microsystems joined
the VRML Consortium.


I will leave it for others to comment further.
