USGSDEM23DS

Hi,

I'd like to subscribe, since I have a site that uses the 7.5 minute USGS
DEM file san_francisco-e.gz as the basis for my Virtual Telegraph Avenue:

http://www.rbcomdesign.com/VIRTEL.WRL.gz

HABWARE has a free 3D Studio Max Plug-In DEM23DS that takes the DEM and
converts it to a 3ds object elevation grid that when carved to size makes a
fine if overly-averaged scale terrain. I understand that Vistapro can also
be used to make a useable terrain. I would like to have better control over
the degree of resolution of the terrain for LOD purposes, and if Vistapro
gives me that, I'll make use of it to get a dxf I can bring into 3D Studio
Max and thence to VRML.

Thanks.
