GeoVRML and the Virtual Field Course

This is great news that the issues discussed at last years CartoBOF meeting at
SIGGRAPH are being taken forward.

The Virtual Field Course project at Leicester University has been addressing
some of these issues. Details of the project can be found at
http://www.geog.le.ac.uk/vfc/. One aspect of the project has been to develop 
 georeferenced VR and multimedia to extend and enhance undergraduate fieldwork.

Some Geofunction ideas can be seen in a document referenced
from my page at http://www.geog.le.ac.uk/mek/
Together with some early prototype development and conference papers.

I would be very interested in a beta preview of the SEDRIS software. 

I also look forward with interest to the outcome of the meeting at VRML98.
