Welcome to the GeoVRML mailing list, maintained as part of the (proposed)
GeoVRML Working Group of the VRML Consortium.

Direct all subscription and list management requests to
geovrml-request@ai.sri.com.

The GeoVRML Working Group has been established to provide a forum for
discussions of the representation and exchange of properly
georeferenced data in VRML.  This is being doen with the hope that
VRML can be established as a standard for the representation and
exchange of 3-D geographic and cartographic data.

Of primary interest and concern are issues of:
   o Coordinate systems
   o Time referencing
   o Terrain representation
   o Levels of detail
   o Resolution and accuracy
   o Data interchange

Currently, the working group and mailing list are managed by Lee
Iverson <leei@ai.sri.com> and the GeoVRML home page is at
